As part of Ontario’s Long-Term Energy Plan, Hydro One will continue to explore partnerships on new transmission projects with Aboriginal communities, where commercially feasible. Hydro One is not at liberty to discuss any ongoing or potential partnership plans.
Are there any impacts to the ratepayers with this limited partnership? Do rates fund this partnership?
The transaction ensures that over the long term there will be no ratepayer impact. Landowners who live near the transmission line will not be affected in anyway by this limited partnership.
